West Hartford Community Theater, Inc. (WHCT) opened its doors in the fall of 2008 with the goal of providing a high quality, live, musical theater experience to West Hartford and the greater Hartford Commmunity. The organization was founded by Bruce LaRoche and Maria Librio Judge, both graduates of Conard High School. Their vision has become a reality as, year after year, WHCT continues to produce quality productions showcasing the unique and richly diverse talent in West Hartford and surrounding communities.

WHCT welcomes all backgrounds and skillsets to volunteer for a variety of programs and performing arts opportunities. WHCT values diversity and strives to provide opportunities that are safe, equitable, and inclusive.

Our Mission

West Hartford Community Theater, Inc. (WHCT) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunity and access to programs and the performing arts for West Hartford and the surrounding communities.

More Than Just Theater

West Hartford Community Theater is more than a theater group. We are also a movement that gives back to the same community we know and love that makes our mission possible. From food bank donation drives, to singing in Blue Back Square and nursing homes, our devotion to the West Hartford community is in our DNA.
Our Board of Directors encompasses talent spanning every aspect of live musical theater. From the actors, singers, and dancers front and center, to the musicians down below, to the costumers, builders, lighting, and sound technicians behind the scenes, WHCT brings a passion to our productions that resonates with audiences because it comes from the heart.
